Kaguya’s Marvelous Invention

Deep into one of the bamboo groves around Moon Capital, there’s a large, towering object standing in the middle of the grounds. It looks like a machine of some sort?
You wonder about what it is, but despite not knowing, you can tell it clearly looks unfinished.

What is this, my child?

It’s my rocket project! Rockets are machines that can travel through the skies and take you places.

Oh, sounds like a very useful device~ Have you been working on this all on your own?

I have, but it’s been so long and it’s not even complete yet… I can handle the crafting myself, but gathering materials has been truly troublesome.

What materials do you need, my dear?

Bamboo! Lots of it. But as you already know, we can’t cut down father’s bamboo; so, the actual cuttable ones are very scarce and rare to come by. Could I ask for your assistance on this?

What can we do to help you~?

I know some of the inn employees often have spares at hand, but taking them without giving anything in return makes me feel bad. I could help them around with chores, but alas, I have no thumbs to be that helpful to them…

I’m sure you offer to help the best you can, my child. But we’ll help too, of course!

Sadly, I can only program it to remember coordinates already used, so it can’t take you to places you haven’t been before. But it could carry you back to any place you’ve already visited!

🤝 AID points

How much you helped is shown as “AID” points; Support levels and Held Items effects apply over AID points. The greater your efforts, the greater your help! Here’s how the “AID” is calculated:

For Drawings

Must include at least one of your characters (Memory Keeper or approved avatar) to count.
All included characters must be at least half-body to count.

• Lines (sketchy or clean) | +10 AID
• Colors (flat or shaded) | +10 AID
• Scenery background | +10 AID
• Include the Keeper or Avatar bound to your character | + 10 AID
• Each additional (non bound) character | +5 AID

For Stories

Must include at least one of your characters (Memory Keeper or approved avatar) to count.

• 400 words (minimum) | +10 AID
• Include the Keeper or Avatar bound to your character | + 10 AID
• Each additional 100 words | + 5 AID (can’t add more than 30 AID this way)

💎 Rewards

At the time you submit entries

• For each owned Avatar in your entry, you’ll earn 1 Shiny Nugget!
• For each owned Memory Keeper in your entry, you’ll earn 5 Memory Fragments!
• For each owned Memory Keeper in your entry, said Keeper will earn +1 Support Level (only once per Keeper)!
• For each 5 AID, you’ll earn 1 Bamboo!

When the Rocket is complete

• Everyone who contributed with at least 1 Bamboo will earn the key item “Moon Rocket“!
• For each 1 Bamboo you have contributed you’ll earn 1 Memory Fragment!

🎍 Getting free bamboo & helping out

• Each Inn NPC has a specific duty to do, and you can offer help through a reaction-based interaction on which you address lending them a hand. This will award 1 Bamboo.
• The reaction-based interaction to earn Bamboo can be only done once per user. If you help an NPC this way once, you can’t do it again. Drawing and literature submissions, however, can be done multiple times until the goal is reached.
• To turn in your works, just reply to the specific NPC which you’re helping. Drawing/mentioning the NPC on your entry is purely optional. The rewards earned each time you submit an entry have been listed in the section above.
• Kaguya will automatically add all bamboo earned on activities around the Capital to the stash of materials. She’ll slowly add to the pile as well, as time progresses.
• This activity has no set date to close and will stay open until the rocket has been completed.
